BCG Rise (Rapid and Immersive Skill Enhancement)

This is a Mid-Career Pathways programme offered by BCG.

It seems to be based on BCG's Bionic Company initiative whereby they seek to transform companies to be able to capitalise on the new technologies. The strategy comprise:

• Outcomes
  • Bionic operations
  • Personalised customer experiences
  • New offers, services & products
• Tech
  • Data & AI
  • Modular technology
• Human
  • Digital talent
  • Dynamic platform organisations

A few key elements that seem to run through the above are:

• Recognition of benefits of Human-Machine partnership. Much akin to Tom Davenport
  • Benefits enumerated are the ability of companies to not only offer new services and products, but also be able to personalise/customise services to each customer's idiosyncracies
• Modularity of Machines, as well as Human organisation
  • In machines, we see the proliferation of APIs which allow different machines to almost seamlessly integrate with one another, thus allowing greater economies of scale, streamlined services end-to-end, as well as aggregation of massive datasets.
• The imperative for this change is to be able to tap of Data and AI
  • This shifts the debate from mere cost-savings to the transformations needed to capitalise on opporunities available through Data and AI.
